GRIZZI'S SPOTLIGHT.
He was my first attempt at being a foster (hence his middle name), and I had failed almost immediately!
One look into those big brown eyes, even though he was blind in the left one...I was hooked. Grizzi’s beginning and ending are both very tragic stories, and even though he was only with me 2 of his 4 short years, they were the BEST two years of our lives. I miss him deeply.
In honor of my little man, Grizzi’s Spotlight will showcase feel good stories and happy endings. It will give an animal in need of a great home, a chance to shine…the same chance he was given.
Pets...in their brief life, they give us love that lasts the rest of ours.
Be at Peace my sweet, strong boy. I will love you always and forget you never.

Beloved Nico...
Our hearts are heavy as we had to say goodbye recently to our long-term resident and forever foster, Nico. He was loved by so many and such a little character. When he was returned to rescue almost 7 years ago with IVDD and PTSD, his previous foster mom welcomed him back with open arms. He faced some pretty tough obstacles over the last few years but was so happy and full of life. He spent his last years in rescue living his best life, receiving the most amazing care from his veterinarian team and his mom, Tiphany...he passed away in her arms knowing nothing but unconditional love. Run free sweet boy--you'll forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again...

Lulu is home! We took our time with this one, and it certainly paid off...our sweet Lulu has found her forever family! When Lulu (middle pup) came to us the beginning of October, she was extremely timid and wary of people, making it difficult for her true personality to shine through. Then, one day she met her perfect match and hasn't looked back since! It is so rewarding to see the transformation in dogs when they finally feel safe and truly loved--and we owe it all to Sena and her amazing family. Now, this happy-go-lucky girl has 2 doggo sisters, a feline brother, a best friend chicken (yep, you read that right), and 3 humans who spoil her rotten! Thank you to her foster, Andrea, who is a sister-in-law to Sena--if not for you, this unexpected union would not have happened. Congratulations, Lulu! You are home.
Double the love! Brooke and Sid have officially been adopted TOGETHER! They have hit the jackpot with their furever mom who is patient, kind, loving and let the girls adjust at their own pace which is exactly what they needed. The girls love cuddling with each other and their new mom. Congratulations, Brooke and Sid, and thank you, Tiffany, for opening up your heart and giving these little dogs the best lives two little girls could ever dream of--we are so excited that they were able to be adopted as a duo! We look forward to future updates!
A brand new start in a split second for Luna! All tuckered out from her adoption celebration! Precious (Luna) didn't even make the website or our social media because her foster knew in her heart, she was already home! We couldn't have asked for a better ending for such a sweet girl...congratulations on your forever family!
We are beyond happy to announce sweet Lola's adoption--her temporary landing turned into her forever home! We were very sad when a great potential placement and sleepover didn't work out for Lola, but so grateful Kim & Dave took her back in...and officially made her their own. Kim may look familiar from another adoption photo, as she and her husband had fostered a different cutie of ours, Boomer, who ended up being adopted by Kim's parents! Apparently, we like to keep things in the family! Also, a big thank you to their Grandson, Trevor, for helping to make Lola's initial transition into foster, an easy one--he has a real knack with animals! Rest easy, sweet girl, you are home.
Congratulations to Quinn on her recent adoption!
This sweet little girl was found dumped in the country with Harley. The wonderful Nikki Stineman was able to catch them and took them to Superior Veterinary Care where they were vetted and cared for until a foster home was found. Our fabulous first time foster, Sherrie, stepped up and agreed to foster Miss Quinn. We love that we didn’t have to post this cutie to the website or social media in order to find her forever home as our vet Dr. Jack reached out looking for a new furiend for her step-father. We knew Quinn was the perfect match, and a meet and greet sealed the deal! She now has an amazing home with John and family where she will be the only dog and get all the LOVE and attention she deserves. A special thank you to Nikki, the staff at Superior Veterinary Care, and her foster mom for everything you did for Quinn on her journey to her forever home. Enjoy your new life sweet girl!

We are so happy to share a few of our "second time around" adoptions that happened in 2022!
First is Gracie with her new family: Brenton, Breelle, Becky, & Justin. As Gracie settled in and got comfortable in her initial adoptive home, she started to establish dominant behaviors with the resident dog. No matter the steps taken to help with the adjustment, it became more and more apparent, Gracie wanted to be an only dog. The difficult decision was made to allow her that chance and she is now thriving in her new surroundings! Thank you, Becky & Justin, for welcoming her with open arms.
Second, are The Doodles, Emma & Izzy, with their new family: Tambra & James. Through no fault of their own, the girls' living situation had changed with their initial adoptive family, and their human wanted the best possible outcome for them, so back to Rev they came. They were a few years older but hadn't lost a bit of their spunk, and luckily, their new home can accommodate the room they need to burn off some of that energy! There's never a dull moment with these two sweet, loving girls, and we are grateful to Tambra and James for opening their hearts and home.
Third, is our sweet boy, Ambrose: Formerly Honda, he has found his happily ever after with his new family; Connor, Gina, and his new best friend, Violet! We are so happy he got to ring in a brand new year with his amazing family and will have nothing but a bright future ahead--congrats to all of you! A huge thank you to his fosters, previous and most recent, for giving him patience, balance, and guidance, so he could find his place.
Sometimes, things don't work out the way we expect them to; the last few years have been a testament to that! Thank goodness for second chances, and the people who help make them happen! A little LOVE goes a long way!

Diego met his match! We knew we wouldn't have this adorable guy for long, and as you can see, he has found his favorite spot cuddled up on his new Mom's lap! The Fitzgeralds learned about Diego through their daughter's friend, who is a multiple adopter of ours, so a big thank you to Amy for making them aware he was looking for his forever home! As always, thank you to Cat and Chase--Diego was their 20th foster with Rev! Thanks to everyone who volunteers, fosters, follows, likes, and shares our stories--we couldn't do our work without ya!
We are happy to announce that Charleigh is officially adopted! She overcame a lot to be able to find her furever home and the wait was totally worth it. Charleigh hit the jackpot with her new Mom and Dad and gets to be the queen of the castle where her pawrents will give her all the love and attention her little heart desires. Seeing how happy and content she is in her new home after just two weeks made her foster mom's heart burst with joy. She will be missed so much, but we couldn't be happier for her. Thank you to Betty and Jerry for opening your heart and home to our sweet little Charleigh. Congrats Char Char...you deserve all the LOVE!
Tavi found a place to call home! This kid hit the jackpot with his new family, Britt and Ben, and now has a fur brother named Morty and even some human sibs, too!! Thank you all for accepting this quirky guy and loving him unconditionally...we believe he was waiting for you. A major shout out to Tavi's fosters, Catherine and Chase Collier, who have cared for countless pups for us--thank you SO much! Congrats, Tavi--we couldn't be happier for you!
After 21 weeks in rescue, Zuri (on the right) is officially adopted and the wait was totally worth it! She hit the jackpot with her new Mom and Dad, Jamie and Nathan, and even has a new fur sister Hope, who is also a puppy mill survivor. They drove all the way from Arkansas to adopt our sweet Zur Zur. She will be missed by her foster Mom, but we couldn't be happier for her! Congrats, Zuri!
#3 of 3: Honda found his forever home (and he gets to keep his name)!! We are so grateful for our amazing fosters, Kelsie & Dustin, who introduced their friends, Darrion & Brittney, to this fun loving pup--now he has 3 skin siblings and a fur sister named Harley to keep him busy! Congrats, Honda! We couldn't be happier for you!
The second of our 3 sweet pups has been officially adopted! Ford, now appropriately named "Dash", is all settled in his new home with Tonya, Paul, and fur brother Obi. We couldn't be happier for him to find such an amazing family--congrats, Dash!
The first of our 3 gorgeous boys to be officially adopted is Chevy!! A new life and a new name, Finn, has found his forever home with Ethan and Jason and now has a feline brother named Peeta, too! We are so excited to see what is in store for this happy guy as he grows into his big personality--congrats, Finn!!
PAX! We are thrilled to say, Paxton has finally found his forever home! He went for so long without any apps so we are convinced he was waiting for the absolute perfect person...and boy, did he get her! Carla had an adorable pup she adopted from HUA and wrote a book about him--and while he has since passed, we are so grateful she opened her heart to our sweet Pax! We can't wait to see what adventures are in store for the two of you--congratulations, buddy! You deserve all the LOVE!
Sweet P! Penelope (on the right) has found her forever home with previous Rev adopter, Rebecca, and Rev alumn, Mr. Snuggles! Her adoption was finalized the day Snuggs went on his sleepover the year before--how's that for a coincidence?! Rebecca agreed to foster Penelope when we got her from a commercial breeding facility, and she fit in so well, she decided to make it official! We know these two will have the best care and the best lives possible and we are so grateful they have all found their way to each other. Congrats, Penelope...we are so happy for you!
We think their smiles say it all! We are so happy that Zeke has found his forever home with his new human, Chris! Coming from a commercial breeding facility, Zeke had never experienced a loving touch or a warm bed, but all of that is in the past! A special thank you to former Rev adopters, Maureen and Dale, for fostering this sweet boy--none of this would be possible without you opening your home to him. Congratulations Zeke & Chris!
We Love Lucy! We couldn't be happier to share the adoption news of our sweet sweet girl, Lucy! Not only are we ecstatic for her, but her new family is so deserving of her, as well...they lost their beloved Jumanji, a Rev alumni, just a few months ago. While their hearts were healing, Lucy held out for her perfect fit and now she will be forever spoiled with endless games of fetch, with her favorite stuffed toy, an olive!! She even has her own Insta page: @olivelucylou -- you can follow her adventures there! Special thanks to Teresa, Lewis, Lizzy, and Drew, for opening your hearts again...we are blessed to have you as repeat adopters. Congrats, Lucy Lou--you hit the jackpot, kiddo!
Saving Grace! Is this picture perfect or what?!! We are so happy to announce this adoption because Kim & Mark have been patiently waiting for months to find the right fit for their dog Piper (on the right) after the loss of their sweet girl, Babe. It took some time, but along came Gracie (in Kim's lap) and everything just fell right in to place. We LOVE it when that happens!
Welcome home, Gracie. Welcome home.
Welcome home, Gracie. Welcome home.
Jack Jack! We are SO excited to announce that Jack has found his forever home! This guy sure did tug at our heartstrings from the very beginning and it took some time for him to learn to trust his fosters and relax in his new temporary surroundings...but he did. He proved to us that he was ready for his adventure to begin and so it has! In the last few weeks, he has settled in perfectly with his new fur sister, Sophie (on the left) and his doting humans, Tammy and Greg. We are so grateful for their patience and understanding the needs of his tender heart. A major thank you to his amazing fosters, Cat & Chase...he was their lucky #13 and from here on out, will live like it! Congrats on your new family, Jack Jack--we look forward to many updates!
Class of 2021! We have our sweet senior Cody, who found himself at the Humane Society through no fault of his own. With Lisa, Stan, and fursister Abbie, he now has his forever home! We are so grateful you opened your hearts to this happy guy so he and Abbie get to live out their golden years together...Congratulations, lucky boy!
Happy Adoption to our GLF pup (who is not looking so much like a pup anymore), Koda! To make a long story short, he was found dumped on a running trail by Good Life Fitness, brought into the gym, and soon after, was in the care of one of our repeat fosters! Now, he is spoiled rotten by Cat, Cory, and their boys, in his forever home. A HUGE shout out to our amazing fosters, Kandice & Cody (and Jason), who never hesitate to jump in when we need them. Because of you, this amazing guy has found the best home and is living his best life...congrats!
Shi Guy! Last year, Nick & Mikaela found us through mutual friends after the loss of their beloved first set of Pugs, when they donated their leftover food...little did we know, our paths would cross again when they were ready to add to their family. They had expressed interest in Shi when they ran across an adoptable pair of Chugs (Chihuahua/Pug) from NHS, who they lovingly welcomed into their home. Lucky for us, Shiloh was always in the back of their minds and eventually, also found his way into their hearts! Now, he has 2 new fur-sibs, Bart & Nash, and an abundance of love with his new family! A huge thank you to his amazing fosters, Dustin & Kelsie (also pictured)
for being so patient with this extremely "Shi guy" and for giving him the tools to be successful in his new home.
This was their second longer term foster for Rev and we are beyond grateful for their support.
Congratulations, Shiloh--we look forward to all the adventures in your future!

Hooray for the Holiday! Could you have asked for a better present under the tree?! We kept this one under wraps (see what I did there?!) because we secretly hoped Luna had already found her forever home when Luci and Paul agreed to foster her...and we got our wish when they officially welcomed her into their family with a Christmas Eve adoption! Luci and Paul have been supporters of ours since the beginning with volunteering at events, fundraising through Luci's business, and even adopting...Luna's handsome furbrother is Rev alumn, Chaz (on the left)! I think we rounded out 2020 pretty nicely--this amazing couple gave US the best gift ever and we are so grateful.
Congratulations, Luna--you hit the jackpot!
Congratulations, Luna--you hit the jackpot!
A home for Harley! There's so many reasons to smile about this photo! Two of the NICEST humans ever with 2 adopted Rev Rescue alums, Zoe (aka Daisy) on the left, and Char on the right, and newly adopted Harley Earl in the middle!! You may be scratching your head wondering why you didn't see Harley on the website...well...that's because the second Kim and Kelly saw his photo and agreed to foster him, he had already stolen their hearts. Harley and Kelly formed an immediate bond and have become 2 peas in a pod and we wouldn't want it any other way! We have been so blessed to have had 4 of our pups find their way into this amazing home over the years, and though no dog will ever take his place in their hearts, Moe is up there wagging his tail that his open spot has finally been filled. Thank you, Kim and Kelly, for opening your hearts once again and congrats, Harley--you are one lucky dog!
Pretty in pink!! This little cutie was determined to be the queen of her castle, and she has settled in her new role very nicely! Pearl gets all of her Mom's attention and is being spoiled rotten--as she should be! Thank you, Allison, for being so devoted to her and giving her an amazing beginning with a brand new life. Congratulations, Pearl! We look forward to future updates!
Furry Family of 5!! We couldn't be happier about this adoption--3 of the 5 are Revolution dogs! The newest member of the pack is our sweet Kahli (now Molly) on the far right, being held by her Dad, with fur brother Max! She has found happiness with our alums on the left, Freya and Tika--now Maggie and Mable--and middle fur sib, Marty! We are so lucky to have found this loving home, and a heartfelt thanks to Maria, Mike, and daughter Margaret, for having so much love to give these special pups! Enjoy your amazing life, Molly!
Dulcie has officially been adopted! We are so happy for this sweet girl on the left--she is now being spoiled and loved by Damecha
and family and even has a sweet fur-brother named Gizmo!
Enjoy all those gifts in your stocking, Dulcie, and enjoy your new life in the New Year!
We look forward to future updates!

London's Bridge! Oh my...where to start with this one?! It's gonna be a long post, so be prepared!
It has been 3 long years since London came to Rev from a Wichita shelter as a lost dog. They told us she was heartworm positive, which actually ended up being wrong. But, what we found out soon enough on our own was that she WAS indeed pregnant! London's amazing foster, Kelsie, and her boyfriend Nick, went from preparing to nurse an ailing dog back to health, to nursing 7 healthy puppies! No warning, no experience, no problem--it just needed to be done and they stepped up. Those 7 energetic pups all found their forever homes--some with our previous adopters, and some through our Doga (dog yoga) event held at Genesis Fitness Center. That success is because of Kelsie's love and dedication...London was no walk in the park! We don't know what pain she endured before finding us but we know it is still something that haunts her today. She trusts Kelsie. She loves Kelsie. She looks to Kelsie to help her make the right decisions...and that's the only person for her. London fits with the pack. They accept her, most of the time! Like all siblings, they test each other and they also figure it out. She belongs. And now she OFFICIALLY belongs forever. Thank you so much, Kelsie, and Nick, for giving this vulnerable, once broken, beautiful girl a reason to live. YOU saved her and we are so grateful.
Congratulations, London. You are home.

An amazing new life for Dova! Some things are hard to explain, so we will let the definition of Serendipity, sum it up for us. This amazing girl, Dova, has defied ALL odds in order to find her way to her forever home and in the process, has helped form new
friendships and brought a wonderful new foster duo to Rev...
Congrats, Bryan & Hanna--thank you for opening your hearts to this sweet, deserving pup. Our gratitude, also, to Jake & Jessica--you understood that her life was worth something and you gave her the opportunity to live it...thank you for your dedication and for recognizing her potential. It's because of you, that she is here...
Welcome to your happily ever after, Dova girl!

Welcome to your happily ever after, Dova girl!
It's official--Jaeger is forever home! We knew this cutie on the right wouldn't be with us long so we are happy to say, we get to stay up close and personal with him because he got adopted by his foster's besties!! YAAY!! He immediately fell right into place with his new family; Eric, Holli, and fursister Roswell (such a great name), and we are so grateful that he will never know anything but LOVE. Congratulations on your new family, Jaeger! We look forward to future updates!
"KEVIN"!! This kid will never be Home Alone again! Kevin (on the right) has settled in perfectly and is enjoying life with his new fur-sister, Ella, and family Dan, Tammy, and Delaney. Thank you so much for opening your hearts and home to this goofy guy--we know he will keep things interesting! Congrats, Kevin, on your happy ending!
Wait no more... Monte waited a LONG year and a half for this post, and we are SO happy to share that he has found his forever family! As adorable and sweet as he is, he needed humans that wouldn't shy away from his moderate medical hiccups and his quirky personality--and along came Laura and Denny! After suffering the loss of their long time furry companion, Buttons, they didn't think they were in the market for another one, but when Laura read Monte's story, she knew they were exactly what they needed...each other! A GIANT thank you to Monte's fosters, Jasmine & Bryce, for taking such amazing care of him for well over a year, and for his recent step-fosters, Amzi & Jazz, for giving him a soft place to land the last few months. He wouldn't be to this point without your love and support and for that, we are grateful. Congratulations, Montague LaRue, on your new beginning with your new family--you deserve all the LOVE!
Snug as a bug! We are happy to announce Mr Snuggles has found his forever home! He is his new humans best study partner and will no doubt, offer her the most support as she prepares for the LSAT and Bar Exam...Legally Blonde has nothing on this duo! Congrats Rebecca and Snugs. We look forward to your very promising future together and look forward to updates!
Hello, Dahli! This adorable little girl came to Rev by way of a local shelter--how could we possibly say no?! She needed a quiet place to land for a bit before being ready to hit the adoptables page, and our amazing long time fosters, Cat & Chase stepped up and made her the 10th pup they've taken in for us and she may be one of the shortest stays they've had! Now, our sweet little Dahli is right at home in the arms of her equally sweet new favorite person, LaVern! These two were made for each other! She is LaVern's shadow and is loving getting all of her attention...which she so deserves. There's many reasons this adoption is special and perfect and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of our fosters, so, a HUGE thank you to them! We are blessed LaVern and Dahli found their way to each other and we know they are going to have a wonderful life together--we look forward to all the updates. Congrats, ladies!
From field to family. When we went to a rescue event held at Star City Motorsports in late Oct. 2019, we expected to have dogs get adopted, but we did not expect to bring one back with us! This black beauty was just around 5 months old when someone found her in a ditch and brought her to us at the event. As fate would have it, a friend of one of our long time fosters was there and said she would take the scared pup until a home was found. Fast forward 6 months, and Willow has sealed the deal with her amazing new family;
Andy, Dee Dee, and Miranda! She has even been accepted by her pawsome new fur sibs, Jack and Billie the Cat! We couldn't have planned a better ending! We are grateful for MyRranda, a loyal & dedicated Rev foster, for bringing Catie and Andy to our family as newbie fosters--without them, Willow's scenario could have been much different...thank you to ALL of you!
Congrats to the Neil's and to Willow as they start their new journey together--we look forward to the updates!

Yesterday was a big day for our little guy, Otis--ADOPTION DAY!! We couldn't have asked for a better scenario for this kiddo...
he gets to stay in the family, as his new forever home is actually his foster's parents! 😍
A huge thank you to Cat & Chase for giving Otis all the tools necessary to help him succeed moving forward--we couldn't have done this without you! Congrats, Dave & Cindy (holding Otis' furbrother Danial), and thank you for loving him so much that you had to
make it official! 😉 Yaay for happy endings!

A Jack of all trades! This kid struck gold from day one when we got him from a shelter in Wichita...first, with his foster and second, with his forever family! Jack (now named Murray) came to us with excellent manners, the basic knowledge of commands, and an eagerness to please--a great foundation for learning. His foster was skilled in training his breed and Murray was a perfect student, which was essential for his adoption with Jason & Bri, since this would be their first dog together. There was an instant connection and if I hadn't witnessed it myself, I wouldn't have believed it--Jack had found his people. We are so excited for him to experience a life full of love and to watch his personality develop further. A huge thank you to Brooklyn for letting him hitch a ride back to Lincoln, to Connor for taking the time and having the patience needed to guide him, and to Jason & Bri for giving him everything he needs from here on out. Congrats handsome boy--you deserve all the great things yet to come. We look forward to future updates!
3 is better than 1! Moe & Zoe have been officially adopted by their wonderful fosters! These two amazing humans are no strangers to the Revolution family--that cute little gal in the middle is Char, who they adopted from us in August 2017! Through the years, Kim & Kelly have been huge supporters, donors, fosters, and friends...we are so grateful our paths crossed and our pups couldn't be any luckier than to have yours as their forever home. A BIG thank you also, to MyRranda, who initially fostered this duo so we could get them out of the shelter safely. We appreciate all you continue to do for us! Congratulations on your new family, M & Z! ❤️
Our happy potato, Jer-Bear!! We are beyond thrilled for one of our senior adoptables, Jerry (on the right), who has found his amazing forever home with Jenny, Blake, and cute furbrother Hershey! When Jerry and his 2 brothers, Bosley & Stewie, came to us, we thought we would have him for a long time due to his age, but being 10 years old didn't phase his new family at all! He fits in perfectly with Hershey, who is now the "youngest son" and Jerry has a new pep in his step--the two even have their very own Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/thechocolatetwinkietwins/ !! A big thank you to his foster MyRranda, for caring for him for what may be the shortest time she has ever had a foster for us! Congratulations, Jerry. We look forward to seeing all of your new adventures!
A delicate flower! Lilli (on the left) has found her forever home, or, lap! This family is no stranger to Revolution Rescue, as they have adopted from us before (Izzy, in the middle) and as you can see, they LOVE their dogs!
A huge thank you to Lilli's fosters, Cat & Chase, and congratulations to
Pat, Joe, Kayla (on the right), Izzy, and Lilli! One big happy family! Thank you for choosing to adopt from us again!

Part deux! The second half the "werewolf pups" has found her amazing forever family with Dale and Maureen and new fur-sibs Freyr (pictured on the right) and Bella (not pictured). She is already loved immensely and will be given the life she so deserves. A special thank you to Tiphany and Bailing Out Benji for getting Ember and Ash out of the horrible conditions they were in and also for Tiph fostering them both. The work she does with our puppy mill dogs is truly amazing. Congrats, Ember! We look forward to future updates!
1/2 of the "Werewolf Pups"! Congrats to Ash (who will now be called Asher) and his new forever family! SO many people who were familiar with the Schipperke breed applied, most were from coastal states, but one from a little closer to home (MN) stood out from the rest! His new family came to Lincoln yesterday, they had a great "get to know ya" day and sleepover, and Asher's new life in Minneapolis with Rand and furbrother Kodi (pictured with human brother Peter), began as they made their way back to the big city this morning--Happy New Year to you all!
Always a Princess!! I was hoping for a trifecta with the Star Wars girls, but we are SO very happy for Princess (and Chewie) on their semi-recent adoptions! Princess has her forever home for the New Year with Ashley, Jesus, and furbrother (Ar)Mondo! A big shout out to 1867 Bar for hosting the Paws and Draws events for us the last 6 months. It gave the girls the exposure they needed and a place for their new humans to meet them...end result: ADOPTIONS! Thank you, Ash and family, for welcoming our sweet girl into your hearts and home...Happy New Year to you all!
The force finally found her! We are SO excited for Chewie and her new forever family...it took a while but there's a reason for that. When these shy, often broken souls, come to us from a puppy mill, we know we are in it for the long haul. Many have major medical and health issues that need to be addressed but mainly, they need time to learn that humans can be kind and trusted, and that can be a very, very long road. We are so grateful for our mill foster, Tiph, and everything she does for these sweet pups--it's because of her, they have a chance to live a normal, loving, carefree life! She has thee toughest job but she never gives up on them and it's up to her to find the right family to take her place when the time comes. Such a bittersweet moment. But when a family like this one comes along, you know it's right! They gave Chewie space and time and most important, they showed her love and now she is giving love in return!
Congratulations Chewie and thank you Nannette and Tena for making the trip to Lincoln to meet this special girl...it all worked out!!
We look forward to future updates!

From homeless to a home. A couple months ago, Bear was found wandering around Lincoln, skin and bones, covered in ticks, and utterly hopeless. Some kind people made sure he was taken care of that night and Bear made his way to Revolution Rescue. After some vet visits and a little TLC, Bear made an astounding recovery and his personality blossomed. As we got to know Bear, we discovered this dog loved everyone and he simply wanted to be loved. His fear of being abandoned again causes Bear to have extreme separation anxiety. Megan, Drew, and their family knew he was meant to be in theirs so they made the commitment right away to get Bear training to help him calm down and understand they won’t be going anywhere. Bear is doing so much better, and although there is still a ways to go, we are happy to report he has found his forever family! Bear will be loved by a full house complete with two boys of his very own to play fetch with and a dog and kitty sibling to snuggle! Congratulations Bear--we look forward to future updates!
An orphan no longer! Congratulations to Annie (on left) on her recent adoption! Annie has had a long journey to find her forever home. She came to us from a shelter in Kansas where she had a pretty bad infestation of mange and worms. After some vet visits and time, Annie became healthy and her real, and very spunky personality came out! She needed a home that could give her the proper time, training and exercise to match her personality, and boy, has she found that! Annie, now named Harley, is no longer a ‘little orphan girl.’ From the start she was a perfect match for the Green Family and she is very loved and adored.
Annie has two new human siblings and one near identical looking dog brother to play with all day!
Annie’s absolute favorite thing to do is cuddle up to her dog brother, Diesel (on right), on the couch.
Thank you so much to the Green Family for forever loving our little Annie, giving her an new beginning, AND a new name.
We look forward to future updates!

Pied Piper! Piper was adopted on National Rescue Dog Day and it couldn't be more fitting! Piper was another one of those perfect dogs that needed a patient home that would provide this gal with structure and exercise and she certainly found that place! Piper now lives with 2 kitty siblings and a sweet baby brother. A huge thank you to Piper's fosters, Cat and Chase! Thanks for loving Piper and taking such wonderful care of her while she waited for her perfect home to come along.
Congrats Piper and family--we look forward to future updates!

RAH RAH RAH!! Freya (second from left) and Tika (far right) have found their forever home with the Beckers and fur brothers Max and Marty! They have hit the jackpot with their new family, who are helping them continue to learn how to be pampered pups after years of living in a puppy mill. A special thank you to Bailing Out Benji and Puppy Mill Free Nebraska for helping these girls on their road to freedom. Congratulations Freya and Tika, and thank you Mike and Maria for opening up your hearts and giving these little former mill dogs the best lives two little girls could ever dream of. We look forward to future updates!
Thunder & lightning! Congratulations to Zeus (above left) on his recent adoption! Zeus came to Revolution Rescue from a local Nebraska shelter where he wasn’t a candidate for the adoption floor. A huge thank you his foster Katy, who not only offered to foster him, but did an amazing job transitioning him back into a home environment. Zeus caught the eye of the Nelson family who was looking to expand their crew and after an initial meeting at Paws 4 Fun, he stopped over to the Nelson’s home to meet the entire family including his new fur sister Roxy. He made himself right at home laying in the dog bed in front of the fireplace and the rest is ancient Greek history! Zeus will be busy this summer riding around town in his Jeep and learning how to paddleboard! Thank you, Nelson family, for giving Zeus what we know will be an amazing life filled with fun and love. We look forward to future updates!
A new pad for Lily! Another little cutie that we didn't have to post to the website or social media in order to find her forever home--we LOVE that! And, what a small world: We found out about lily needing a new home from Annie's new family (a few pics below) and she then was adopted by a good friend of her foster family, so we hardly had time to get to know her before she was snuggled up in her very own forever home! Her new siblings, Jayson & Jordyn, are so excited to have a companion and they have even taught her how to fetch already! Thank you to Courtney for fostering sweet Lily and to Tiffanie for opening her home and allowing this adorable girl to blossom!
We look forward to future updates!!
We look forward to future updates!!
Wassup, Doc?! We are SO excited to announce this handsome gents adoption! Doc came to Revolution Rescue from a shelter in Kansas where he was set to be euthanized for lack of space. We knew he had a little work ahead of him (and a LOT of work for his fosters) due to his lack of trust in people and some resource guarding issues, so we asked our amazing "tough dog foster couple" MyRranda and Jason
if they were up to the challenge and they graciously accepted, ultimately helping us save Doc's life. He was part of our very first
Adopt and Shop event at Gateway Mall, which is where his new Brother Alex (above) met him and kept tabs on his availability through
our Facebook page. When he saw that Doc was finally ready, his family filled out the application and the rest is history!
Doc now has a family of his own (with 2 fantastic Sisters, too) to take him on walks, go to the dog park, give him endless snuggles,
AND teach him commands in Spanish! A bilingual dog?! You go, Doc!!
Thank you, Linares family, for giving this amazing guy the chance he deserves. We look forward to future updates!

Sweet girl!! Maddie is as sweet as they come--we didn't even have time to post her to the social media sites before she was adopted! The Nelson's met Maddie and instantly fell in love and Maddie felt it was a great match too! She now has an entire family to take her on walks, trips to the park and in the summer time, visit the lakes!! What lab doesn't love water?! A big thank you to the Nelson family for giving Maddie a warm and wonderful home! We look forward to future updates.
S-S-S-Sadie! We are so happy this silly, spunky, spinning, quirky girl found her forever home! You may recognize her new siblings from an earlier post in 2017, when Brynn asked for donations for animals (instead of gifts for herself) and chose Revolution Rescue as her charity. She and her brother Wyatt have so much compassion and we are grateful to have met them. Sadie needed a family who would embrace her wild ways and continue to nurture her...she has found that in the Tlamka family (also included but not pictured are her Guinea sisters, Lucy & DeeDee)! A HUGE thank you to Sadie's fosters, the Strongs, for allowing us to save her by initially taking her in. Congratulations, Sadie girl! We look forward to future updates!
Super Ted! Congratulations to Ted (middle) on his recent adoption! This cutie came to Revolution Rescue when his owner could no longer take care of him. Ted is basically an angel and needed the sweetest family to match...he certainly hit the jackpot! His foster family fell in love with him and so did their other pets! Ted now has a brother Gibbs (pictured) to wrestle, swim and hike with along with a few kitty friends who love to tolerate him! A huge thank you to the Anderson family for giving Ted his forever home and we look forward to future updates!
Welcome to the jungle! We are thrilled to announce Jumanji's adoption! Juju came to us from a shelter in KS where he was at risk of being euthanized. This little ball of fluff won over the hearts of everyone who met him, starting with his foster who spoiled him rotten by taking him to work with her most days. Now, he has his very own family who love him dearly...so much so, even the kids wanted to sign his adoption contract! A huge thank you to Kelsie for opening your home and more importantly, your heart, and helping us get Jumanji to safety. We are so grateful to Lewis, Teresa, Lizzie, and Andrew for giving this cutie a new life ...
no doubt, he will live like a Prince! Congrats everyone--we look forward to future updates!

Just a dog hangin' with his crew! Crew (on the right) came to Revolution Rescue from a Kansas shelter where he wasn’t a candidate for the adoption floor due to being fearful. There are a handful of individuals we would like to thank, all who played in a role in making his adoption possible. Thank you to Jordan Marie for driving the eight plus hour round trip and making Crew’s freedom ride a reality, the Paws 4 Fun staff and Celene DeStefano Kuhlmann and Marcus who stepped up to foster Crew which allowed us to save him! Crew and his blanket caught the eye of the Kawa family when they saw his video on Facebook. After recently losing their beloved Coonhound, JJ, they were looking to expand their family with a dog that got along with Marlow (left), was good with other dogs and loved kids--Crew checked all those boxes! He now spends his days following around two young boys who he is great with, playing fetch and running around his backyard with his fur sister Marlow and just loving life with his new family. Thank you, Kawa family, for giving Crew his forever home--we look forward to future updates!
Double the love! So excited to let the world know that The Russians have found their forever home! The first part of Trane & Vislov's lives were spent in an extreme hoarding situation but now, these boys get to be spoiled rotten as the only animals, AND they get to go to work every day with their new human, Dr. Ta!! We are so excited that they were able to be adopted as a duo, too, as their favorite thing to do is go on their daily walks side by side. At home, Vislov loves to fall asleep in Dr. Ta's arms, while Trane's favorite game is fetch with his new stuffed toys! A HUGE thank you to Marcy for getting the boys to safety and to Cat & Chase for sharing the responsibility of fostering them and giving them the tools necessary to succeed in their new lives.
Congratulations, T, V, and Dr. Ta--we look forward to future updates!

Hold my paw! Dollar is an amazing dog and needed the perfect family to match! In his new home, Dollar gets three walks a day and a whole family to love...he even has two human siblings who love to play chase with him in the yard. One of Dollar's favorite things to do is pick strawberries off the strawberry bushes--he thinks they are so yummy! Congratulations Dollar and thank you Smith family for all you
have done and continue to do for Dollar! We look forward to future updates.
have done and continue to do for Dollar! We look forward to future updates.
A brave warrior, indeed. Yep! Here's another one that didn't make the "adoptables" page...his foster family knew, just a few weeks into it, that Wyatt was right where he needed to be! This little cutie was at risk of being euthanized in a high kill shelter and when we reached out for a foster, the Johnson's stepped up without hesitation. Having never had a dog before (they are owned by cats), Wyatt fit right in with the family and now has big sister Sylvie and fur siblings Gibson & Morty (who opted out of the family portrait) to keep him company! Heartfelt thanks to Kim & Chad for taking a chance on this precious little soul and giving him an amazing home. Welcome to forever, Wyatt Courage Johnson. We look forward to more bowties, tshirts, and videos of your zoomies around the house!!
Just like a Phoenix... Asher came to Revolution Rescue from a Kansas shelter where he wasn't a candidate for the adoption floor due to being heartworm positive. Asher completed his treatments earlier this year and handled it like a champ! His adoption would not have been possible without a few individuals help along the way. Thank you to Julie for giving Asher a place to land during his treatments, Kala with Dogtography~by Kala Howard for the amazing photos, Katy with Meraki Dog Training for giving Asher the confidence, guidance and training he needed allowing him to be successful in his home, the staff at Paws 4 Fun, the staff at Companion Care Veterinary Clinic and an anonymous donor for all your help along Asher's journey! Scott and Megan fell in love with Asher almost immediately during their meet and greet and there is no doubt Asher fell in love too! It may have taken Asher a while to find his forever home but we cannot imagine a better fit! Asher now spends his days rolling in the grass, learning new tricks, going for runs and being loved by two amazing parents! Thank you Scott and Megan for giving Asher his forever home and we look forward to future updates!
The last of the Texas bunch! Pepa (now Pepper) and her siblings, Salt and Tupac, came to Revolution Rescue from a high kill shelter in Texas where they were going to be euthanized at 9 weeks old due to overcrowding. Sweet Pepper has now found her forever home with Linda and Steve who are very excited to have her as their newest family member. A special thank you to Dina Barta for bringing these sweet little pups to our attention, R.A.C.E for organizing transport, and everyone else that helped bring these pups to safety. Congratulations Pepper, on your new family...we know you’ll have the pampered life you deserve!
Kismet! He waited patiently, almost longer than any other foster we have had, for the perfect family...and it paid off. Clancy came to us from a smaller shelter in Nebraska and while we are unsure of his past, we are certain that his future will be filled with love. John and his family had lost a beloved family member and had been thinking about adopting again--not yet knowing who Revolution Rescue was, Clancy popped up on his Facebook page a couple times and peaked his interest. Keeping in the current color scheme of his new fur siblings, Lucy (pictured), and cats Yin & Yang (brothers who are all white and all black, respectively), Clancy fit right in!
A very special thank you to Clancy's fosters, Dustin & Kelsie, for being such a great foundation for him
and for sticking it out as long as was needed...you are such a blessing.
Thank you John, Rhonda, and Dillon, for giving this loveable, gentle giant a new lease on life! It was meant to be.
Enjoy your new family, Clancy--we look forward to future updates!

Char and her three puppies came to Revolution Rescue from a kill shelter in Texas where they were going to be euthanized due to overcrowding. Sweet Char has found her forever home with Kelly and Kim (pictured with their daughter Kirby and her fur sister Zoe) who are very excited to have her as their newest family member! "Always be yourself unless you can be Batman, then ALWAYS be Batman"!! We are so happy to announce this guys adoption! Batman came to Revolution Rescue as an owner surrender after being with his family for 7 of his 8 years and while we hate to see ANY animal in a situation like this, we knew this kid was something special!! We owe a HUGE thank you to his foster, Susan, for helping him feel comfortable enough to let his true personality shine in just a short amount of time...it made it impossible NOT to fall in love with him! Batty now has an amazing home with Sarah and Nick, and even has a kitty-sister (Jasmine) to hang out with during the day. He is spoiled and loved and getting the life he so deserves and we couldn't be happier! Congratulations, Batman, and thank you Sarah, Nick, and Jazzy for opening your hearts and home to a superhero! We look forward to future updates!
One spoiled Beau! Beaujolais, along with his mama and sisters, came to Revolution Rescue from a high kill shelter in Texas where they were going to be euthanized at three weeks old due to overcrowding. Beau is a lucky little guy and has found his forever home with Barb and Terry (pictured with their Grandson Jaxon). A special thank you to Dina Barta for bringing these sweet little pups to our attention, to R.A.C.E for organizing transport, and to everyone else that helped bring these pups to safety...it truly takes a village.

One for everyone! Congratulations to Riesling (now Lily) and Zinfandel (now Missy) on their recent adoptions! Lily and Missy, along with their mama Chardonnay and brother Beaujolais, came to Revolution Rescue from a high kill shelter in Texas where they were going to be euthanized at three weeks old due to overcrowding. The girls have found their forever home together with Tom, Christine, and family (pictured left to right Tom with Ginger, Christine with Sweetie, Trey with Missy and Tyler with Lily). We love when siblings get to grow up together and we look forward to future updates!
Help me Rhonda! If you don't recognize this blue eyed beauty, it's because she was adopted before we had a chance to post her on our Facebook page! We are so grateful when things fall into place. This lucky little girl now has an amazing forever home in KC that she shares with her canine fur-brothers, Louie and Duke. She's still learning to love them but we have no doubt that they will all be snuggling together in no time! Thank you Amber and Justin, for allowing Rhonda to play, pounce, and purr in a place all her own. We look forward to more videos of her coming out of her shell! Enjoy your new life, sweet girl.
All Eyez on him! Congratulations to Tupac (now named Tux--on the left) on his recent adoption! Tux, along with his sisters Salt and Pepa, came to Revolution Rescue from a high kill shelter in Texas where they were going to be euthanized at nine weeks old, due to overcrowding. Tux has found his forever home with Liz and his new fur sister, Moo, who he loves to play with! A special thank you to Dina Barta for bringing these sweet pups to our attention, to R.A.C.E. for organizing transport, and everyone else that helped bring these cuties to safety...it truly took a village!! This is why we rescue. We are so happy for you, Tux, and your new family!! Thank you Liz, for giving him an amazing forever home! We look forward to future updates!
SHOOP! Salt, (on the left & now called Annabelle), along with her siblings Pepa and Tupac, came to Revolution Rescue from a high kill shelter in Texas where they were going to be euthanized at nine weeks old due to overcrowding. Annabelle is a lucky girl as she now has found her forever home with Mark and Chris, and fur sisters, Lucy (tan) and Stella. Annabelle and Lucy are best of friends and love to spend time playing and exploring together. A special thank you to Dina Barta for bringing these sweet pups to our attention, R.A.C.E. for organizing transport, and everyone else that helped bring these pups to safety. Congrats, Annabelle, on your new family--we know you’ll have the pampered life you so deserve!

Who rescued who?! Rylee has had quite a journey and quite a following since she arrived from a Kansas shelter where she was at risk of being euthanized. A huge thank you to everyone who played a role in helping her...without your help this adoption would not have been possible. A couple of individuals we would like to recognize are Jordan who transported Rylee to Lincoln, and Julie, who helped her transition into the real world. Thank you to everyone who made private donations, everyone who attended A Dog’s Purpose (which raised money for Rylee’s heartworm treatment), and the staff at Companion Care Veterinary Clinic for treating her.
Craig and Kellie started fostering for Revolution Rescue after they saw the video of Rylee in the Kansas shelter. First, they fostered Bentley and Nova (both who have since been adopted), and soon after, they thought it just made sense for them to adopt Rylee...after all, she is the one who led them down the path of fostering! Rylee now spends her days on an acreage outside of town with her big brother Nomad, sitting pool side sunbathing, and at times, hanging with the boys at Wayne’s Body Shop. Congrats Rylee, and thank you

Can't fight this feeling! Brutus caught the eye of Patrick and Amanda as they were looking to add a four legged family member...they specifically wanted to rescue a bully breed, one with a rescue organization or from a local shelter. As fate would have it, Brutus was up for adoption with us and it was during the initial meet and greet that things just fell into place! Brutus now has 2 human brothers and spends his days as a loved member of the family, going for runs, walks, lounging in his favorite chair, keeping an eye on the neighborhood, and being an amazing ambassador for his breed. A special thank you to Tren for keeping Brutus safe and close at heart while the perfect new home was found. Congrats, Brutus and thank you, Patrick, Amanda, and boys, for giving Brutus his forever home! We look forward to all the updates!
A big, new life for "The Littles"!! Zane & Sawyer came to us from a high kill shelter in Kansas where they were at risk of being euthanized due to having kennel cough. Being extremely bonded, these brothers' chances of being adopted together were slim where they were, so we were happy to get them into foster where they could start to develop their individual personalities. A HUGE thank you to MyRranda and Jason for agreeing to foster and nurture them--it took a little longer until they were fully ready for their forever home, but the wait was worth it! To see these two blossom in their new surroundings is so rewarding and we are grateful they are part of Kris and Jennifer's family. The Littles now have a fur-sister named Bella, and two human sisters, Hailey & Kielyn, to run and play with!
Congratulations boys--you deserve this! Here's to forever families and new friends...who rescued who?!
We look forward to future updates!

Super Nova! Nova came to Revolution Rescue from a Kansas shelter after she was removed from her backyard as a cruelty confiscate. She was crammed in tiny kennel outside, starving and sitting in her own feces. A special thank you to the ladies at Beauties and Beasts, Inc. for all the work they did to help Nova--this rescue would not have been possible without you! A huge thank you to Kellie and Craig, who fostered Nova and helped her transition from scared and shy to confident and playful--all over the course of just a couple months! Nova caught the eye of David and Danielle and during their meet and greet, Nova let us know that this is where she wanted to be. She now spends her days sprawled out on the sectional, playing in her big backyard, and going for daily walks! Have an amazing life,
sweet girl, and thank you David and Danielle, for giving Nova her forever home! We look forward to the updates!

The "Bella" of the ball! We have been waiting for this day for a long time and it's FINALLY here!! This girl is so deserving of her happy ending, and when she caught the eye of Kevin and Bianca...they knew it was the perfect fit! Kitty sibling, Taco, approves as well! Bella now spends her days being spoiled and even gets to go to work with her new dad--how awesome is that?!! She was one of the
"Kansas 9" and each of the nine have now been adopted! Have a wonderful life, Bella, and thank you Kevin and Bianca, for giving
Bella her forever home!

Sophie's choice! This is another amazing behind the scenes "foster that turned adopter" story! We were contacted by our local shelter, CHS, about a sweet girl named Sophia, who was is need of rescue. She had been adopted and returned twice in two years and she was so deserving of her next home, to be her FOREVER home. Cody & Kandice had recently lost one of their companions, Nar, and though they weren't convinced it was time to actually adopt, they agreed to foster Sophia. Since night one, this shy & reserved, adorable girl had won their hearts and in just 2 1/2 short weeks, it was decided she was there to stay! There's definitely no denying the bond she shares with Cody and it's evident to everyone who sees them together...she came into their lives at just the right time. Her new family consists of sister Ava, Brother Cayne, and cute lil' fur-brother Kilo! A huge thank you to the Smith's for your willingness to give Sophia the space, time, and attention she needed to learn to trust again...if not for you, she wouldn't be here.
Enjoy your amazing home, Soph! We look forward to updates!

Ms. Piper--growin' up fast! Piper (on left) was just a puppy when she came to Revolution Rescue and now here she is at seven months old! She has been living in her home since December and was recently spayed, which was the last step in her adoption process. Piper has two big brothers Arnold (middle) and her best friend Tanner (right), whom she definitely looks up to, as they are often found curled up next to each other. So cute! Kate and Matthew fell in love with her after seeing her on our Facebook page and it was evident after seeing how loved Arnold and Tanner were, that Piper would fit right in. It can take a village to save a dog and Piper was no exception. We want to thank a couple people who helped her along her journey: A big thank you to Scott and Tiff who offered to foster Piper--iit was their willingness to be foster parents that made this adoption possible! Also, major thanks to Julie at Good Decisions Dog Training, LLC for her help with transitioning Piper into this pack...it obviously worked! Enjoy your forever home Piper, and thank you Kate and Matthew, for giving this little girl everything she could ever need! We look forward to updates!
True love stories never end... Reece, now named Rhea (on the left in the bottom pictures), came to Revolution Rescue after being found on an interstate off-ramp in eastern Nebraska. We suspect she was dumped there after recently giving birth to a litter of puppies. Through some networking, we were put in touch with the couple who found Rhea and she was transported to Lincoln. With no owner coming forward, Rhea was placed into a foster home with Katy of Meraki Dog Training. Rhea caught the attention of Jessica and Phillip who were looking to add another dog to their family and it was a perfect fit! Everyone, including Rhea’s new fur-brother Brutus, approved! Rhea now spends her days being showered with love, playing with Brutus and being an amazing ambassador for her breed. A special thank you to Katy for fostering and thank you, Jessica, Phillip, & Brutus, for giving Rhea her happily ever after!
We look forward to updates and more amazing photos!

Lil ball of scruff! The cutie on the left came to Revolution Rescue from a shelter in Kansas where he was scheduled to be euthanized because he had kennel cough and a limp in his front leg, which was later found to be an old break that hadn't healed correctly.
Jason & Jennifer had spotted him on a Facebook page and wanted to help by fostering, so Alvin (as they later named him) hitched a ride with another transport we had coming, and his new life began! He had an instant bond with Jason and soon started melting hearts...it wasn't long before we knew he was already in his forever home (his very own Christmas stocking was a bit of a clue)! He now has an amazing family with Jason & Jennifer, his 2 legged-brother Grover, and fur-sibling Aarow, who is also a rescue from NE. Thank you all so much, for opening your hearts and home to this amazing little dog who deserved a second chance--we look forward to updates!
Congrats, Alvin!

Cruisin' into a new life! Bentley came to Revolution Rescue from a kill shelter in Kansas after he was scheduled to be euthanized due to a lack of space and catching kennel cough. Kellie and Craig offered to foster Bentley and he was transported to us with the help of Linda, who made the 663 mile round trip! Bentley caught the attention of the Hall family, who had recently lost their Boxer earlier this year. He made himself right at home during his meet and greet and it was obvious he had found his home! You can check out a video clip on our Facebook page, of Bentley arriving to the Hall’s a day before he was scheduled to move (it was a surprise to the kids)...as you will see! We are thankful to have captured this moment on video, as this is what doing rescue work is all about! A special thank you to our amazing fosters Kellie & Craig, and to Linda, for getting Bentley to Lincoln! And, thank you Hall family, for giving Bentley Blake an amazing forever home! We look forward to the updates!
Little Boy Blue! Blue came to Revolution Rescue from a local Nebraska shelter after he wasn’t a candidate for their adoption floor. With the help of Julie, owner of Good Decisions Dog Training, LLC, Blue received the training he needed to get him ready to find his home. It was his dashing good looks and those "radar" ears that caught the eye of Chase and Abby! He was the perfect match for an active couple to include an active dog into their lifestyle. These days, you can find Blue at the bike shop, a local Motocross park, or being an awesome ambassador for his breed! Thank you Julie for all your help with Blue and thank you Chase and Abby for giving him an amazing life and forever home! We look forward to updates with this trio!
If the name fits...! Moose came to Revolution Rescue as a 10 month old pup when his owner passed away...he was a big boy with lots of energy to play! Conor had been looking for this exact kind of dog and when we were asked to help Moose find a new home, we knew right where he could go! Thank you Conor, for adopting Moose and giving him an amazing home--these two spend their days going for walks, paying with doggie roommates, and the nights are spent cuddling! We look forward to updates and Snapchats from this duo! Congrats!
CA$H MONEY! Congratulations to Cash on his recent adoption! Cash was found tied to a city park bench in the Wichita area where over half of his fur was missing due to fleas. He was transported to a Kansas shelter where he was set to be euthanized due to his skin condition and being fearful. Janice offered to foster Cash and he stole her heart! It wasn’t long before Janice realized that Cash was already home. For those who have met Cash, he is one of the most loving and well behaved dogs we have ever met! He now spends his days with his fur brother Pax, going for daily walks and being right next to his moms’ side. A special thank you to The Canine Scrub for playing a crucial role is his recovery...he visited them weekly to be bathed with their Sensi-Skin shampoo and over the next six to eight weeks, all of his skin healed and fur grew back! We also want to thank The Canine Scrub for their continued support of local rescues! Thank you, Janice, for giving Cash a new lease on life and there is no doubt that he is a mama's boy! Congrats, Cash! Enjoy your new life!
Winston's wishes come true! Winston came to Revolution Rescue as a timid guy after living the first four months of his life in an Amish puppy mill. After a month in his foster home, he became an outgoing & playful pup who learned sit, shake, high 10, and roll over! He has hit the jackpot and is now a beloved family member, living the pampered life with Michelle and Jay! A special thank you to Bailing Out Benji for saving Winston’s life and helping bring him into rescue! Thank you, Michelle and Jay, for opening up your hearts and giving Winston his forever home! We love the videos and updates so keep postin'!!
Our eighth adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Petey! Petey was adopted by Chad and Kelsey and we can’t imagine a better fit for him! He now spends his days hanging out with his parents, going for walks, visiting the park, attending football watch parties and melting the hearts of everyone he meets. A special thank you to Katy for fostering Petey and doing an amazing job with his training. Thank you, Chad and Kelsey, for giving Petey an amazing forever home and we look forward to future updates! Congrats, Petey!
From homeless to a home! This one happened so fast, we didn’t even have time to post that he needed a home! We got Gizmo from the local shelter because after being returned twice, he was at risk of being euthanized . He was said to be very protective of his former owner and not exactly “male friendly”. Good thing we tested that theory, because everything changed when he met his foster, Jason! The two had an instant bond and within 24 hours, Gizmo (now Gizzy) was all settled in his new FOREVER home. He also has 2 fursiblings to run and play with and more love and attention than he knows how to handle! We are grateful to Jason for taking a chance on this special guy and for giving him an amazing new life. Congratulations, Gizzy—you won the lottery!
Sometimes things are just meant to be! Frankie LOVES to be with people and lay on laps all day long, so we needed a special home that could provide him companionship the majority of the day. We found exactly that with the Vermillion family. Brandy is a homemaker who loves to crochet and now she has her very own lap warmer while doing so…Frankie is HER blanket! Frankie also has Brandy’s husband, Ray, and new fur sister, Rose, who give him tons of affection! This is one lucky little guy whose adoption was finalized a day before his 4th Birthday, so Happy Birthday Frankie and congratulations on your amazing new family! We look forward to more updates!
Our seventh adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Millie! Prior to coming to Revolution Rescue, we believe that Millie may never have lived in a home...she was scared of stairs, the TV and even other dogs. Fast forward a couple months and now Millie zooms up and down the stairs, watches TV and plays with other dogs! Devin and Millie met at the Golf Scramble Fundraiser on Labor Day and a connection was quickly made. She loves to cuddle with Devin, enjoys her daily walks with her new doggie roommates, and she is even happy to love on the neighborhood kids. It's amazing to see how far she has come along. A special thank you to Jack's Bar for hosting the Golf Scramble benefit for us and to Jon Warden for setting the whole thing in motion. Not only was it a great day of laughs and golf, but this sweet girl hit the jackpot! Thank you, Devin, for giving Millie her forever home and giving her a great new life--we look forward to future updates!!
Our sixth adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Chaz! He stole the hearts of his fosters, Lucy and Paul, who soon realized that Chaz was already home. His adoption was complete with his very own “adoption cake” and he even shared it with his fur-sister Duchess! Chaz is the second dog Lucy and Paul have fostered for Revolution Rescue--last summer, they fostered Sophia, who came from the same Kansas shelter that Chaz came from. We are thrilled our “Gentle Giant” has found an amazing forever home! Thank you, Lucy & Paul, for all you have done for our rescue and we look forward to seeing Chaz again soon! Congratulations, Chaz!
Mr. Boots, the blind kitty, is the King of his new castle! He sure doesn't let his lack of sight keep him down, as he proudly stands behind his new fursisters, Gilly & Lucy...they are blending together nicely! As always, he is prompt for dinner and is a real trooper with his Insulin shots to balance his glucose. With his new lion-cut, he enjoys getting brushed and has discovered his love for CATNIP! He even gets to go outside and lounge on the patio (supervised always)! A very special thank you Megan & Matt for fostering him and helping him with his issues...even though he cost them a brand new floor! We are so grateful to Amanda and Al for giving Mr. Boots an amazing home and warm laps to curl up on. We look forward to future updates, posts, and videos on this sweet kiddos new life! Congrats, Mr. Boots!
From Puppy Mill to Prince! Jaxon came to Revolution Rescue as a breeder release dog from one of the “Horrible Hundred” puppy mills in Missouri. Despite the horrible conditions he lived in during the first five years of his life, Jaxon is a very happy and friendly little guy. His new mom, Mindi, saw his picture and instantly fell in love in with him! Jaxon is a smart little guy and has already learned how to play fetch and go up and down stairs in his new home (all new and exciting accomplishments for a former puppy mill dog)!! A special thank you to Bailing Out Benji, Second Chance Animal Rescue and Pug Partners of Nebraska, for helping Jaxon on his road to freedom. Congratulations Jaxon, and thank you Mindi for opening up your heart and giving this little former mill dog an amazing new start and look on life!
Our fifth adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Champion (now named Watson)! Watson gets to be spoiled as an only dog and loves his daily walks! A special thank you to Madison for fostering him...we couldn't have saved him without you. Another thank you to Julie Starns with Good Decisions Dog Training for helping Watson in his transition and seeing to it that he was successful in his new home. Congratulations Watson and thank you Will and Jess for giving Watson his forever home!
Our fourth adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Charlee (now Scout)! During the meet and greet, Scout fell in love with Chris and Amanda’s son Lucas. She would follow him around and always had an eye on where he was...I guess they didn't used to be called "Nanny dogs" for nothing! We look forward to years ahead as they grow up together. Scout now spends her days being spoiled, rocking the latest collars by Mazzy Co. and being loved by her family who absolutely adores her. A special thank you to Mike & Emily for fostering her...we couldn't do our work without you two! Congratulations Scout and thank you Chris, Amanda and Lucas, for giving her an amazing home!
Our third adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Odessa! Randi and her family offered to foster Odessa and it didn’t take long to realize this was a perfect fit--which is why you didn't see her listed on our page as an adoptable! Some may call this a “foster failure” but we prefer the term “foster forever” ! Odessa and her boys make quite the team, as you can see, and she even has fursiblings to run and play with, too!
A BIG thank you to Julie Starns with Good Decision Dog Training for helping Odessa get past a few of her fear based issues. It's helped her so much! Congratulations Odessa...take care of those boys and we look forward to future updates!

Our second adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Echo! Echo (now Thomas), found himself on death row in a Kansas shelter where he was deemed unadoptable. We have no idea why because he has been nothing but perfect since coming to Revolution Rescue! Thomas is the happiest go lucky dog who loves to chew bones upside down and does the happy dance when you get home! He has now found his forever home with Jason and is one special pup who, as an only dog, is and will continued to be spoiled. He certainly deserves it! Congratulations Thomas & Jason...we look forward to future updates!
Our first adoption of the “Kansas 9” is Nico! Nico found himself on death row in a Kansas Shelter after he was deemed “unadoptable” due to nipping...hard to blame him in a scary shelter environment. Revolution Rescue made a 560 mile round trip to save him and the others that were set to be euthanized. It didn’t take Nico long to warm up and he was giving kisses and playing within an hour after arriving in Lincoln! Nico is a lucky dog, as he has found his forever home with Breana and Jessup, who have fallen in love with this little guy! They love his intelligence and his big adorable ears! Nico has a new sister, Olivia, who adores him, and two new fur-siblings to run and play with! Congratulations, Nico on your new family--we know you’ll have the amazing life you deserve!
Seniors are the BEST! At the age of 12, Clyde found himself looking for a new home where he could be pampered and spoiled after his family decided they didn’t have time for him anymore. Julie had been looking to adopt a Poodle to love and spoil when she came across Clyde’s pictures online and fell instantly in love! Clyde has hit the jackpot in his forever home with Julie, who is happy to oblige Clyde with all the love, attention, and belly rubs his little heart desires. Special thank you to Catherine and Chase for fostering Clyde while he was waiting for his happy ending. Thank you, Julie, for opening your heart and home to a senior dog and making Clyde’s golden years the best years of his life! Happy life, little buddy!
Sancho found HIS hero! Brad saw pictures of Sancho online and he was instantly smitten. He has always loved Pit Bulls and when he met Sancho for the first time, there was an instant connection! Sancho has officially gone from rags to riches scoring the perfect home and his story reminds us that our past doesn’t dictate our future. He now has a doggie sister to play tag with and a kitty sister he so desperately wants to be friends with (it will happen soon Sancho). A special thank you to Kyle for fostering this big love bug, which allowed us to get him away from life on a chain. Thank you, also, to Julie for helping train this big boy and prepping him for his forever home! You are the best! Congratulations Sancho and Brad…smiles all around!
Big Ben's time has arrived! They say a picture is worth a thousand words and we'd have to agree! This special guy didn't even make to our adoptables page before fate stepped in. During a vet visit in Omaha, Benny's foster struck up a conversation with a very sweet lady, who after learning his story, had the perfect adoptive family in mind for him. Benny has had some struggles in his short life, and his AMAZING fosters Sarah and Marcus Hansen, worked like crazy to get him to where he is today. Because of that, he has found his forever home with Charlie and Wendy!! He now has two human sisters that love him bunches and 2 fur siblings (in the form of cats) that don't love him quite as much...YET! ;) A very special thank you to Katy for giving us the best fosters ever for Benny, to Linda for helping the stars align with his new family, and to Sarah and Marcus for prepping him to have great success in his new life! Congratulations, Bennydoodle!
Leaps & Bounds for this happy boy! Originally named Spud, Miles came to Revolution Rescue from a town in Kansas that has BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) which is a law that bans or restricts certain breeds of dogs based on their appearance. We received many applications for Miles, but it was his instant relationship with his new fur-sister, Nadia, that let us know he had found his forever home. Nadia is a breed ambassador and Miles will soon follow in her foot steps and become a breed ambassador as well! Miles now spends his days playing and napping with Nadia, going for walks, keeping an eye on the neighborhood and being spoiled by his amazing parents Heather and Joe. Joe is a Firefighter for the city of Omaha and while Dalmatians are commonly known as firehouse dogs, we think Miles and Nadia (as Pit Bulls), hold their own at Fire Station #53! Thank you Heather and Joe, for giving Miles an amazing home--we look forward to future updates!
A special thank you to Mike and Lezlie of The Canine Scrub for fostering Miles...not once, but TWICE! This adoption would not have been possible without them. Miles was just a pup when he arrived in Lincoln and it was the socialization, love and commitment Mike and Lezlie provided, which led to him being an amazing pup. Thank you to Dina Barta who led the coordination and transportation efforts of bringing him to Lincoln from the Kansas shelter and thank you, also, to Lacy Bye and Jean Mertz for helping transport Miles. Another special thank you to his first Mom, Bobbi Holzworth, for loving Miles unconditionally...it took a village to save him and we thank everyone who played a role. This is why we rescue.

Ridin' the wave!! The Ocean kitties, Orca & Coral, have a new life! This bonded duo came to us after they were saved from an overcrowded shelter in August, and the wait was worth it, as they have hit the kitty jackpot with Amy and her family! Orca has made himself at home and loves playing with his two doggie siblings. Coral loves looking out of all her new windows and is learning that her new doggie siblings can be fun to play with through the gate! Who knew?! Thank you Amy and family, for loving them so much and for giving them an amazing home!
A sweet treat for The Cookies! The last of the 3 Cookie kitties,
Oatmeal (inset) and Chip have found two of the best little cuddle partners around! These adorable, fluffy, affectionate, flopsy kittens have been adopted into a home where they are loved and snuggled beyond belief...and we couldn't be happier!
The 3 siblings were at risk of being euthanized due to lack of space at a Nebraska shelter and we are grateful they reached out to us for help.
This is why we rescue.
A great BIG thank you to our Cat Coordinator, Megan, and her husband Matt, for fostering these two and their sibling Raisin (who was adopted
by Megan's brother), until the perfect home was found!
Congratulations to the Reuter family...thank you for allowing these love bugs to be a forever part of your life! Enjoy!

Kizzy, (now Scout), finally gets to put down her roots! We don't know how this sweet girl ended up as a stray in the Falls City pound, but we are so grateful for the animal control officer who believed she was worth saving. Terrified, Scout was hours away from being euthanized and suffered patches of hair loss due to being flea infested. This is why we rescue. After getting all cleaned up and settling into her new surroundings, she had a bit of a hard time sharing her foster's lap with the resident dogs (she is a Princess, after all) so she found herself in another predicament of having to find a new foster home ASAP! Luckily, Sam and Caitlynn entered the picture and Scout hit the foster jackpot! Not being able to tolerate other dogs well, being black, and being a chihuahua mix, she had some odds against her but none of that mattered to her new potential family. Abe & Julia fell in love with her upon first meeting--Abe wanted to postpone his vacation for fear someone else would snatch her up! Scout is in an amazing home with and expanding wardrobe, more love than she can possibly handle, and she even has a new BIG Brother, Buddy the cat! A huge thank you to Dina for making the drive to Falls City to get her, to Betsy, Sam, & Caitlynn for being her fosters, and especially to Abe & Julia, for opening their hearts and home. Congratulations Scout--enjoy your new amazing life!
Rod Stewart wrote a song about her...Maggie May!! Maggie came to Revolution Rescue with a broken heart, as her owner and best friend (who she lived with since a pup), had recently passed away. We received multiple applications for her but one seemed to be the perfect fit! We were looking for a family that had someone home most of the day and had no other pets--just like Maggie had with her previous companion. The Williams family had lost their Cocker Spaniel, Buddy, a couple years ago and decided, when the time was right, they would adopt again...as fate would have it, that is when Maggie came across their computer screen! It was meant to be!! Maggie is very spoiled in her new home: she has a couple of large windows throughout the house to keep an eye on the neighborhood, a Grandma home with her during the day and a Mom that is absolutely in love with her! Christmas may have worn her out but not before Santa brought her a few new presents (see the pic)!! Thank you to Sue and the Williams family, for giving Maggie an amazing home and life. A special thank you to Catherine and Chase who fostered her...she is the third dog they have fostered for Revolution Rescue! Their previous fosters were Bob the Standard Poodle and Koba (now Bowie), both were adopted last year. Congratulations and Happy New Year to Maggie and her new family!
Eleanor!! You may remember this sweet girl when she came to the rescue with a right patellar luxation and a right tibial malformation, due to suspected previous trauma, and required surgery to correct the problem. We had set up a GoFundMe page and with the generosity of our donors, over $3,000 was raised to get her back to her old self! She had an amazing foster family who cared for her both before and after her surgery, and without them, none of this would have been possible. Emily & Mike Krause endured so many vet visits and invested countless hours in her, and we are ever so grateful. Now, Eleanor has two new sisters and 2 new fur-siblings to run and play with...and boy, do they RUN RUN RUN!! A great way to start 2016 for this beautiful girl and her new family...congrats to you all!
Ben...we are your family! Backpack Ben, now known as Ben Kenobi (yes, his new family are huge Star Wars fans) was officially adopted the day before Christmas Eve! He is settling into his furever home so nicely and has two big sisters: a 7 year old shepherd mix named Carly, and a 3 year old kitten named Toph. Ben's learned, "come" and "sit", and loves playing and napping with his sisters...and his Mom, who is pictured below! A huge thank you to Ben's original people, Lynne (who found him in a park in a backpack while 2 boys were trying to sell him), and his fosters, C & Mari--we couldn't do our work without amazing people like you! Happy Holidays & congratulations to Ben, Laya, Jason, Carly, & Toph!
A Happy New Year, indeed!! An original member of our 4 "Ponca Pups" and the last one to make it official...Joey has found his forever home! One of the sweetest & most well behaved pups we have had, he is now livin' large and being spoiled like crazy, with his new Dad and a buddy! Congratulations to Cody and Joey--we are so excited for you both!
The Doodles!! Congratulations to Izzy and Emma on their adoption! Here, Carlie is reading to
Izzy and Emma...does it get any cuter than this?! These precious girls now spend their days
being read to, being great study buddies, playing fetch, and running around in their huge
backyard with their new fur-siblings! We are thrilled this bonded pair found a great family and
an amazing home to call their own just in time for the Holidays. Thank you, Talbott family, for
making Izzy and Emma’s Christmas wishes come true!!

Jumpin' for Jax!! We knew this little cutie wouldn't be with us long!
After being fostered by an amazing family who helped him to understand
that his kennel wasn't a bad place, that if you learned tricks, you got treats,
and who also showed him unconditional love, he was a perfect candidate for
his new home! Jax now has 2 fur siblings and another favorite person, Shay,
to snuggle with at night. A special thank you to the Lahner-Preuss family for
all of your hard work and patience--he is a better pup because of you. Congratulations and Merry Christmas to Kerri, Shay, Bishop, Sasha, and
your new family member, Jax the Puggle!

Sunny's day has arrived!! Ken and Marlene recently lost their beloved Chihuahua, Casey Jo, and were looking for a new family member when they came across Sunny. They drove over
3 hours to meet Sunny and it was love at first sight! She now has two feline sisters to play and cuddle with. Sunny's first night in her new home was spent curled up on her dad's lap watching football...maybe THAT'S why the Huskers won?!! Congratulations, Sunny! We know you will have the amazing life you deserve!

JADE. This girl waited over 600 days to find her forever family...we couldn't be happier for her! We are beyond grateful to everyone who came to her party--your support means the world us. A very special thank you to Dave, Kate, and fur-brother Milo, for loving Jade as much as we do! Enjoy the slideshow from her Adoption Party held on Sunday, October 25, 2015.

It's easy to see, "Not life, but good life, is to be chiefly valued". --Socrates
Sophia was scheduled to be euthanized in a Kansas shelter as she was deemed "unadoptable" due to her being blind. On a Sunday morning in May, Revolution Rescue made a 250 mile road trip to save Sophia, which was only possible after Lucy stepped up by offering to foster Sophia. It was amazing to see how quickly she adapted to her new environment! Sophia was adopted by Chelsea and Brandon who are absolutely amazing; we couldn’t have found a better home for Sophia. She now has a big brother named Socrates (a rescued Pit Bull mix) that has shown her the ropes and now spends her days on an acreage where she loves to run, play with her toys, and sunbathe! She has the life of Riley! A very special thank you to Lucy for fostering...it was because of you that this was all possible. Thank you Chelsea and Brandon, for giving Sophia all she will ever need--we look forward to future updates!

Congratulations to Duke on his recent adoption! Duke came to us with some anxiety issues and needed some work on his behavior. He was placed with a foster family who was willing to work with him and he received a little TLC...two months later, here is Duke, adopted! Taquan and Chastity were his fosters and now are his parents. Some may call this a foster failure, we call it a foster success! Thank you, Taquan and Chastity, for giving Duke all he needed--we look forward to future updates! Duke is the third of four from his litter to be adopted through Revolution Rescue, joining his siblings Leo and Zoey.
There's a lot to celebrate here! Congratulations to Koba, now Bowie, on his adoption! Bowie is becoming a star on social media, along with his new fur sister Margo, and he is making friends wherever he goes. We love all the posts, so keep em comin'! Mike and Jessica are completely in love with him and we could not be happier! Bowie's adoption was finalized right after his parents got back from their Honeymoon...what a great way to start a life together by making this little guy part of the family! A special thank you to Catherine for fostering Bowie--this adoption would not have been possible without you. We look forward to watching Bowie grow and all the adventures that await him. Also, a HUGE congratulations to Mike and Jessica on their recent wedding...here's to a lifetime of happiness!

No more sittin' ringside for Rocky! That is the smile of one happy pup! Rocky loves his squeaky toys, his visits to the dog park, and weekend trips to his adopters’ family farm where he can run and play. Prior to his adoption Rocky was living in boarding at a local vet and it was a local staff member Brooklyn who stepped up and ultimately saved Rocky allowing him to become part of Revolution Rescue. A special thank you to Brooklyn for all you did for Rocky. We are excited for Rocky’s future with Steven and Courtney! Congratulations!
Congratulations to Luke, now Leo, who won over the hearts of the Wozny family. Leo now has a big brother named Max and these two keep each other pretty busy playing tag, sharing toys, and having a good time in the backyard! What a good looking duo these boys make together and this match couldn't have been more perfect. We look forward to updates in the months and years to come. We are so happy for all of you!
Izzy has met her match...and we are so happy to announce her adoption! She has an amazing new family with 2 great humans and 3 fur-siblings: Kayla, Zeus, and Rhea (pictured with Izzy, left to right). Here's a note we received from her new Dad, Joe:
"Izzy is doing fantastic! She and Kayla play together all the time while the 2 seniors are content to be as lazy as they want. Izzy and Kayla play tug of war at least 10 times a day and are now starting to physically play with each other. These two seem to be very, very happy to have each other and so are we. Izzy is a perfect addition to our family and Pat and I would like to thank you for bringing Izzy into our lives".
We thank Joe, Pat, and the rest of the gang, for giving Izzy the life she deserves! Enjoy, sweet girl! <3

From puppy mill to pampered…we are thrilled to announce that over the weekend Sam & Charlie were adopted! Both spent their entire lives in wire cages, used only for breeding purposes, with limited medical care and little to no human contact. When Sam and Charlie came to us they were full of worms, fleas, and ear mites. After a couple visits to the vet, we were able to get them healthy and got Charlie’s teeth cleaned. After some TLC at their foster home, we knew it was just a matter of time until their chance at a life they have always deserved would come along. Pam fell in love with these boys and we couldn’t be happier for both Sam & Charlie! This is the reason we rescue, it’s not always easy but in the end it is worth it. Two deserving boys will now live out their lives in a home where they are loved and cared for and never have to spend another minute in the horror of being property of a puppy mill owner. Congratulations to the three of you!!
Nellie has found her forever home! She has nothing to be nervous about...Nellie is in an amazing home with Ted and her new fursister, Precious! While Precious and Nellie are still getting used to each other, she obviously has found a comfortable spot in her Dad's arms! Congratulations to you three...we love all the pictures and updates on Facebook!

Congratulations to Zoey who has been adopted! As you can see these two make the perfect pair...is there anything better than a swimming partner on a hot August day?! We're so glad they found each other and we look forward to future updates from Garrett and Zoey. YAY!
Be at Peace, Miss Gracie... This sweet soul is my Brother, Duran, and his family's cherished & faithful companion, Gracie. She didn't come from Revolution Rescue but she was a rescue dog that they saved from a shelter in another state. She loved to go to the dog park EVERY Saturday to run and play with her friends and was also fond of her twice daily walks around the neighborhood. Such an active girl with a zest for life and then suddenly, her back legs would give out and she wasn't as steady on her feet as she normally was. A trip to the Vet in late April/early May (2015), determined she had Chondrosarcoma, a form of fast spreading and malignant bone cancer, that if contained, amputation is a good option. So that's what they did--Gracie lost her right rear leg on May 14th and handled it like a trooper! After healing, she was like her old self, minus an appendage! She had a couple good months and then the worst news came on July 14th...the cancer had spread to her lungs and the best thing for Gracie, would be to let her go. So with heavy hearts, my brother and his family said their goodbyes to this beauty who had filled their lives with so much joy. Rescue. We rescue them and they rescue us. Death. They leave us so we can save another and the cycle continues. Thank you, Gracie Slinde, for teaching us love and loyalty. Run free of pain and be at Peace.
Until we meet again...

It's a Y.E.S. for Wigi!! We are so excited for to Wigi who was adopted earlier this week! Through no fault of his own, he hit a little rough patch in his life, but has now landed an amazing home with a family that adores him. His mom and dad are getting married in August...we think Wigi should be the ring bearer, don't you?! ;) Here's to many years of lasting love for the new family! Congratulations, Wigi! You deserve it!!
The "B's" knees! Congratulations to Bob (on the right) who was adopted this weekend, July 12. His amazing family drove up from Dallas to make him part of their pack. Bob now has two fur sisters, Baxter and Bridgette, to run, play, and hang out with. Bob will be attending Texas Rangers baseball games and making visits to the local nursing home.
They have a fun website, http://poodleheaven.com/, that tells the story of how much these dogs are a treasured part of their lives. It hasn't been updated in awhile due to the passing of some of their furry family members, but I'm sure Bob will be added soon. We are so grateful he has found his forever home!

From homeless to a home...Rocko has hit the jackpot! This gentle giant was rescued by Fur The Love of Paws in North Platte, NE but wasn't doing well in the shelter environment. Daily, they could see his spirit dwindle and just knew there was something better for him outside of there. We were contacted, found a foster, and Rocko was transported to us. Within the first 24 hour period, his foster became our first "foster failure"...Rocko wasn't going anywhere! We are so happy that he won Katie's heart and now he has a fur brother, Wesley, that he can play and snuggle with, too! Thank you, Jenn at Fur The Love of Paws, and Katie for believing in this guy and giving him a lifetime of love!

Second chances! Jacques has finally found his perfect lap! Gloria was all set to adopt Jacques
some time ago, but an impending knee surgery put her plans on hold. Now, after surgery,
she is recovering and has the perfect partner to help her through it! It was meant to be that he
was still available...he couldn't have a better home. We are so grateful things worked out as they did. Congratulations, Jacquey-boy, and thank you Gloria, for giving him a lifetime of love! We hope you have a speedy recovery and are back on BOTH feet soon!

BeBe, now Phoebe, is in her amazing forever home! When Linda and Darin came to Wine and Howl on June 6th, 2015, I'm not sure they expected to fall in love with this little cutie! Phoebe felt right at home in Linda's arms, as she carted her around the event, trying to get a feel if they would be a good fit. No contest! If we could have done things differently, they would have taken her home that night, but they patiently waited until the Monday after, to get their new addition! Phoebe now has 2 fur-sisters, Mo and Bella, who are showing her the ropes and how to keep the neighbor dogs in check through the fence! Congratulations, "Pheebs", on your new home and thank you, Darin, Linda, Mo & Bella, for welcoming her into your home and your hearts. She deserves a lifetime of love.

Best Friends Forever.
No truer words have been spoken…these two were meant to be. Meet Abi and Matilda.
Abi has Cerebral Palsy that affects mainly the lower half of her body, but if you didn’t actually see her, you’d never know it. Speaking with her, she is the smartest, sweetest, most considerate and thoughtful 7 year old you could ever hope to meet. Never a negative word comes from her mouth, as she focuses only on the positives, which makes her perfect for our Matilda. Matilda also has a bit of a disability in the form of a Hernia, and after Abi learned about her, she thought since they were both unique in the way God made them, they could really relate to each other. Neither of these two cuties let their “handicaps” get the best of them and they spend every minute together from sun up to sundown (now Abi has a sleeping partner)! Tilly goes to Abi’s therapy appointments with her, they go on walks together and spend hours cuddling on the couch, talking and solving the world’s problems! Abi has a great protector and Matilda has an amazing caretaker. They love each other unconditionally and will be best friends…forever.
Congratulations, Matilda, on your new home and thank you to the Smith family for giving her a lifetime of love. We couldn’t be happier for all of you!!

Meet Romeo!
Revolution Rescue’s first official adoption! This 5 year old Boxer mix was spotted dodging traffic in Eastern Iowa, near the high school that Vice President Brad Quimby, had attended growing up. Brad immediately pulled off to the side of the road, opened up his door and called for him. The next thing he knew, Romeo was sitting shotgun-smothering him with kisses as to say “thank you”. In this particular Iowa city, there are no animal control officers, so lost and stray pets are taken to the local police station where they are held until the county animal control officer can scan them for a microchip and transport them to the county animal shelter. After dropping Romeo off at the police station, Brad posted pictures of him on the local Lost Pets Facebook page where someone recognized him and contacted the owner, who was then put in touch with Brad. Sadly, it was learned that Romeo was no longer wanted and was not going to be reclaimed. Brad was not going to let this beautiful dog’s fate be determined by the shelter, so he asked the owner to relinquish him to Revolution Rescue, which he did. Immediately, a Facebook post was sent out looking for a foster, but it was a share of that original “found” post that reached those who would become Romeo’s fosters. In looking back, it was this family’s ability to take him in, that very well may have saved his life. A couple weeks into foster care, another family saw (through Facebook) that he was up for adoption and in the end, they would be the ones to make him a permanent resident! He was officially adopted in February 2015 and now spends his days being loved and spoiled beyond belief!
Romeo’s story reminds us of the power of social networking and how just one share by one person can ultimately change the lives of one dog and one family.

On a hot Summer day in mid July, 2014, Nate Nelson was out irrigating a cornfield in Gothenburg, NE, when he came across a little body of a Pit mix puppy, just lying there weak and emaciated. He quickly took him home where he and his wife Kaylee started nursing him back to health. Knowing they couldn't keep him, they reached out to find him a home and Brooke got busy looking for potential adopters. Within a week, he was transported to Lincoln where he quickly found his new home with the Peterson family. Now called Bruno, he has settled into a charmed life with his human sister, Mckenzie, and his rescued fur-brother/best friend, Bosco. A huge thank you to everyone involved in his rescue and ultimately, his chance at an amazing life!
